It's bridal overload this week! :) On second thought it is most likely going to be bridal overload from now until the wedding, but that's a good thing, right?

Last night (Thursday), Amber and I attended an event at Macy's Homestore. They had David Tutera (David Tutera) there as a guest speaker. He went on and on for about an hour about how to throw a unique wedding and how all brides should make sure to "have something new for your guests to do every 30 minutes." Um, okay... So let's see heres our timeline, think I can get it so our guests do something new every 30 minutes? I'll play this game. Here goes...

11:00 am- Guests arrive
11:30 am- Ceremony
12:00 pm- Cockatail Hour
1:00 pm- Guests get their table assignments
1:05 pm- Introduce Mr. and Mrs.
1:10 pm- Lunch
2:30 pm- First Dance
2:45 Pm- Other dances
3:30 pm- Cake Cutting
4:30 pm- End

Okay, so it looks like we have something new every 30 minutes for about half the day.

The second thing he always talked about was all the "little" thing we can do to make our weddings more personal. He then proceeded to show us slides and images of these "little" things from million dollar wedding. Yeah, RIGHT!

After David was done talking there was a little trade show for registry items at Macy's. Since Jason and I are already registered, Amber and I just sampled the chocolate-covered strawberries and walked around checking things out. We were waiting for the raffle at the end of the night!!

So after much anticipation, the raffle went under-way at 8:30 pm. The grand prize was a 5-day trip to Maui. I had it all planned out. 7 days in Kauai (already paid for) and then we would jet over to Maui for the complimentary portion of our honeymoon before we returned home. Sure, we would have to change our plane tickets that are already purchased, but for a 5-day stay in Hawaii, it would be totally worth it!!

Well, I am sad to repor that we didn't win the trip to Hawaii, but I did get a vase and some martini glasses:

Martini Glasses
Posy Vase

Not too shabby, eh?
