:team richey:
On Saturday night, after Jason and I went to costco to stock up for the big resident party, I decided to give my bro a call. A couple weeks ago when he was in SD I sent with him back to Reno all of my wedding centerpieces. They are made with love out of wood by my Papa and my mom and I thought it would be a good time to get them up in the area without having to ship them. The following conversation conspired:
Me: Hey, bro, where are my centerpieces
Jay: ummm, they're still in my truck. They're okay though.
Me: Well, why haven't you put them in storage yet
Jay: well Dad and I were supposed to do that today but he never called me
Me: okay, well I'll call him and ask him about that. But I am really worried about them b/c I don't want anything to happen to them
Jay: they're fine
Me: alright, well have a good night. I'll talk to you later.
Then I called my dad.
Me: hi dad, what's going on?
Dad: not much, just have some people over for dinner
Me: what's going on with my centerpieces? Jay said you two were supposed to put them away today
Dad: well, Jay never called me
Me: that's funny, he said the same thing about you
Dad: well, he didn't call so I didn't know what was going on
Me: oh, well can you call him tomorrow and bug him, because I'm really worried that they'll get wet and warped and not be cute anymore!
Next call probably went something like this:
Dad calls Jay: Your sister is pissed!!!
Jay: yup, she was going bridezilla on me!
The next morning (Sunday) when I was a a raging bitch to everyone (not happy about having to work) I get this call:
Jay: Your centerpieces are weird
Me: Screw you, you don't even know what they are, all you see is the wood, not the final thing
Jay: damn, what's wrong with you
Me: I'm in a bad mood, what's wrong with you?
Jay: Well we put it all in storage
Me: Okay, good! Thank you!
Jay: today is Superbowl Sunday, a national holiday
(and then he starts to sing) "Oh superbowl, oh superbowl".
Me: laughing hysterically and not in a bad mood anymore
Love you guys! Thank you!!
